The study of Religious Education is part of the entitlement of every pupil. Religious Education is taught through a series of Super Learning Days across the school year with a focus on one particular religion for each Super Learning Day. This encourages knowledge and understanding of different religions, and helps to promote pupils’ academic achievement and personal development.
Super Learning Days are delivered to complement and enhance the curriculum at New Bridge School and are an integral aspect of school life, promoting the sharing of thoughts and ideas and community cohesion. By exploring issues within and across faiths, pupils learn to understand and respect different religions, beliefs, values and traditions, and their influence on individuals, societies, communities and cultures.
New Bridge School aims to enable pupils to acquire and develop knowledge and understanding of Christianity and the other principal religions and beliefs represented in the UK and globally.
Parents and carers wishing to discuss any matters relating to Religious Education are invited to contact the Head of Site.
