I began working for New Bridge 11 years ago as a teacher of Drama and Dance at the main site. Since then I have worked in the roles of ‘Community Development Manager’, ‘Director of Employability’ and now head of Future Finders Employability College and Key Stage 5 Pathways at Medtia Square.

During my time at New Bridge, I have been responsible for fundraising nearly £1million worth of additional funding that has funded Wheelchair Football, Residential Visits, Holiday Clubs, Enterprise equipment and the ILS at the Learning Centre.

My passion lies in moving our students into the world of work and I set up the Bridging the Gap project at both The Royal Oldham Hospital and Manchester Metropolitan University. I also played a key role in the setup of New Bridge Horizons. Over the past few years, I have set up our new Medtia Square campus and have successfully opened The Atrium Café and our new independent college.

I have also introduced the Employability Matrix across the MAT and students from all of our schools now have the opportunity to access work placements or our new pre-Internship course. I am the named Careers Leader for the MAT and am currently studying a Post-Graduate Certificate in Careers Education at Huddersfield University.

Within my current role as head of Future Finders Employability College and Key Stage 5 pathways, I oversee all elements of curriculum and pastoral care.
