Last week was an absolutely phenomenal week for us Year 11s as we spent our full week at Haven in Hafan y Mor. It was an enjoyable week for the group as we did lots of the activities on offer.
We set off on Monday and got through the 3 hour journey to get there and finally unpacked and got settled, then it was down to the entertainment club with some average tribute acts! The caravans were very good and clean….well, some of them still were at the end of the residential! There were activities such as adventure golf which Mr Hickie is still bragging he won, roller skating (shame they didn’t do size 15s), Segway which was more fun when you didn’t do a Superman dive over the handle bars and the aerial adventure.
On one day the whole group took a trip down to the beach which saw the expression ‘sun’s out, guns out’ to enjoy the lovely weather….oh, and woo the ladies which I always do! We also did the swimming pool which had slides, lazy river and waves. We turned the slide into our very own cannon ball run which meant a lot of people stood at the side got splashed but I don’t think the women were too happy on the top balcony…CANNON BALL!!
It was a great residential overall and I’d like to thank all the staff on behalf of the students for making these amazing memories happen which will last a life time. We will have lots more photos to follow soon.
Well done to the Gold DofE boys who have just completed their full expedition – Mr Taylor will have a report for us next week!
Hope you enjoy your weekend!
