We’re delighted to be involved with Oldham Coliseum’s Secondary Education Partnership project this year:

“In 2013 Oldham Coliseum Theatre received funding from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation to devise a programme of work with secondary schools. Through master classes, theatre visits and performances, students engage in artistic activity with the theatre. This year schools will be performing responses to Meat Pie Sausage Roll, by Cathy Crabb and Lindsay Williams, on the Coliseum’s main stage in March.”

Sarah from Oldham Coliseum’s Learning and Engagement department came in on Tuesday to lead a workshop for Lumenus. They will be creating a devised piece in their Thursday skills days to be performed at the Coliseum on 6th March as part of Fandom.

The Lumenus students engaged in a number of games and devising activities to make a start to their 10 minute performance..

By the end of the day, the students had already decided on a plot, costumes and they had a lot of fun making up their superhero identity!

Look forward to more information coming about tickets for parents and carers and also an update and maybe even a sneak peak at what the students are preparing – you’ll be in for a treat!!
