My name is Paul Southerington and I have had the pleasure of working at New Bridge School since it opened in 2004, having previously worked at Marland Fold from 1998.

I have undertaken several roles during my time at our school, working with the ICT Technical Team through to becoming a Newly Qualified Teacher before taking on my current role as Head of Year in 2012. I feel that these experiences give me a broad and balanced view of what students, staff and families are looking for across a wide area of the school.

I have two children of my own, Luke and Rebekah, both of whom keep me very active and busy. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, swimming and being creative using ICT. I am also a proud supporter of Oldham Athletic.

As a staff governor, I am keen to ensure that the views of the staff, the governors, the parents and, most importantly, the students are shared and valued, whilst supporting (or challenging) future developments of the school.
