Our Red Nose Day cake sale to raise funds for Comic Relief was meticulously planned by Mr Meadows and his team. Mrs Lamb and Mrs Hickman’s cookery groups were drafted in to make the cakes and they did a fantastic job!

The Nurture Base worked with Mr Meadows’ Year 9 Enterprise Group to run ‘Operation Cake Sale’. The groups were split into two teams with the rules being that the team that made the most money for Red Nose Day would be declared the Enterprise winners..

The cakes were then brought to the tables by the chefs..

..and a call was put out to the school to announce that the cake sale was open..

The stalls were VERY popular..

After an extremely busy breaktime the tables were empty and the task of counting up the takings began – the two groups had made a grand total of £104. 66!!!

Team Survival just pipped Team Wizz to the post, outselling them by 55p.

A great effort from everyone concerned and special thanks to all the staff who helped!
